BADSHAHBOOK: Australia beat India by 21 runs in the third ODI on Wednesday to win the series 2-1. After electing to bat, Australia posted a competitive score of 269 against India. The Leg Spinner Adam Zampa (4/45) did shine with the ball as Australia took all the wickets of India for 248 in 49.1 overs. Australia's best player started but failed to make an impact. Opening the innings, Mitchell Marsh top scored with a one-ball 47,
while Travis Head scored 33 off 31 balls.
Keepers Alex Carey (38), Marnes Rabchagen (28), Marcus Stoinis (25) and David Warner (23) all looked good before conceding wickets. Sean Abbott (26) and Ashton Agar (17) also did well in the end and bowled 49 overs to take Australia past the 250-run mark.
From the Indian side, Kuldeep Yadav (3/56) and Hardik Pandya (3/44) achieved 3 wickets each, whereas Mohammad Siraj (2/37) and Axar Patel (2/57) took 2 wickets each. Like the visitors, India's top order has also started. Captain Rohit Sharma (30), Virat Kohli (54), KL Rahul (32), Hardik Pandya (40) and Shubman Gill (37), scored quite but lost wickets at the crucial moment.

Steve Smith Australia captain: It was a fun tour. We didn't play our best cricket. It is enough to cross the line. This wicket was completely different. The spinner rolled beautifully and worked really well. (turning point) This was a serious force in place. The tails are joined to make 269, so that's a good total.
Rohit Sharma, Indian captain: I don't think we will get many goals. I couldn't get a good shot.
Participation is essential and that is what we failed to do today. You have grown up playing with these types of wickets, so it is important that you apply it yourself. After the start, it was important to take a shot forward and deepen the game. It didn't happen. Many things I want to bring. Many positive results can be taken from the 9 ODIs since January. We must understand where we are required to improve. This is a collective failure. You can learn a lot from this series. Thank you Australians. Both the spinners were pressing, but so was the seamer.
