#1 Virat Kohli

The former skipper of team India as well as RCB will still be a key figure in the terms of leading the team and also in the batting order. This right-hander’s intensity on the field as a captain, fielder, as well as a batsman, is infectious which is always a huge factor. As a batsman and a fielder, the 34-year-old has always been leading as a light but as a skipper, Kohli has not been fortunate to win the title for RCB.

Virat Kohli has showcased his class in the tournament by dominating the opposition single-handedly bowling with his aggressive style. Whether he is cutting the ball up or playing the drive, Kohli is still considered a class apart. He is as sharp as ever at the time of running between the wickets. In the previous IPL season, this right-hander scored 341 runs with a strike rate of 115.98 in 16 IPL games.

#2 Dinesh Karthik

With age, many players lose their form whereas Kartik has been becoming better with age. The wicketkeeper-batsman is one of the best finishers in T-20 Cricket after MS Dhoni from team India. This 38-year-old carries on with this role for RCB. He is able to defend the best bowlers on his day out of the field as we have been already witnessing. Karthik’s unorthodox style of batting is his biggest power.

He has this tendency to switch across the off-stump that helps him to hit even full-length deliveries using perfect timing and power. The TamilNadu-born can hit short length deliveries with his strong bottom hand over extra cover that sometimes makes it uneasy for the opposition skipper to set a field for him.

Karthik has won the ‘Power Player of the season’ award in the 2022 season for maintaining a strike rate of 183.33. He scored 330 runs previous season, averaging 55 last season. Karthik would be expected to deliver in the upcoming season as well and is no doubt one of the favorites to achieve the Orange Cap in IPL 2023.

#3 Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar has been one of the best finds for Royal Challengers Bangalore so far having the 29-year-old creating some fine batting performances in the previous season with his confident stroke play. This right-hander entered in as a replacement for the injured Luvnith Sisodia last season and even had postponed his marriage for participating in the IPL.

Patidar is definitely amongst the favorites to grab the Orange Cap in IPL 2023. He scored overall 565 runs in 7 Ranji Trophy matches during the years 2022-23 with an average run of 62.02. Patidar left a huge impression by producing some productive performances in the last IPL season having scored 333 runs maintaining an average of 55.50 and a strike rate of 152.75.
