BADSHAHBOOK: Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is just a few days apart, so all the teams have started their preparations. The same goes for the IPL 2022 runners-up Rajasthan Royals, who had lost last year's final against Gujarat Titans. All the top players have already gathered in Jaipur.
In a recent video posted by Rajasthan Royals on their social media, fans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium could be seen chanting “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. Ek Bar Aaja Aaja' - a popular Hindi song composed and sung by Himesh Reshammiya - for star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
Seeing the fans, Ashwin said "I brought them". Then when he hears them singing, he says, "Kamaal hai yaar".
Meanwhile, the captains of IPL teams may name their playing eleven after the toss, instead of just handing over team sheets beforehand the flip of a coin, the new playing conditions of the BCCI said. According to the playing conditional clause 1.2.1: "Each captain after the draw must nominate in writing 11 players and additionally a maximum of 5 field substitutes to umpire an IPL match."

"Other than as stated in Article 1.2.9, no player (a member of the playing eleven) may be changed after nomination and before the start of the game without the consent of the opposing captain."
This basically means that after the draw, if the captain feels he needs to change his XI as the situation demands, he can do so until the start of the match.
Another significant change to the playing conditions is the penalty for unfair keeper movement if there is a shift in position before the batsman makes contact with the ball.
The bowler's umpire will then: "award a penalty of one run for a Wide or No ball, as applicable, or award 5 penalty runs to the batsman's side.
Then informs the captain of the fielding side of the reason for such action. Informs the batsman and, as soon as possible, the captain of the batting side of what happened."
