In the last week, many international matches were not played due to the ongoing IPL season. However, based on the India-Australia ODI series, several Indian stars have benefited significantly from the latest update, including Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma.
Gill, who has smashed three ODI hundreds this year, has climbed to No.4, his career-best ranking. Shubman is just two points behind Pakistan's Imam-ul-Haq and is third on the list.
Virat Kohli has also moved up a spot as he regained his lost mojo this year and is now sitting at the 6th position in the rankings. The former India captain is one point ahead of South Africa opener Quintin de Kock, who is seventh.

Apart from Gill, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are also in the top 10. While Kohli also moved up a place to number seven, Rohit remained at number eight in the list led by Pakistan captain Babar Azam.
Pacer Mohammed Siraj continues to be the only Indian bowler in the top 10 as he holds on to his third spot, behind Australia's Josh Hazlewood and New Zealand's Trent Boult.
South Africa's Aiden Markram attained 13 places reaching 41st in the top-order batting rankings and 16 places to 32nd in the overall all-rounders' rankings, another career’s best performance in both the departments as South Africa beat the Dutch 2-0 in their three matches. series of matches in Johannesburg.
